Song of the Wizzan by Zzenn
A World Out of Tune
Have you noticed the dissonance in our society? Recently, I was walking the streets of Seattle, Washington. What a beautiful city. And yet, the vibe of many of the people I passed was disturbing. It wasn’t too long before I almost got mugged. Don’t get me wrong, there were some sane people, such as at the Starbucks under the Space Needle, but enough strange, bordering on deranged, individuals to evoke concern.
Of course, this is nothing new. The political scene over the past ten years has turned everyday folks into radical extremists, many with a violent, psychotic streak. These are people possessed by their shadow, imprisoned in childhood trauma, cultural indoctrination, and infected with corrupted memes. They have become minions of a system built on greed, one where power-hungry forces look at humans as dispensable consumers, not holy vessels.
As I pondered this driving away from Seattle, I wondered if the pendulum will ever swing the other way. There's a word used by Carl Jung, “enantiodromia,” which means the emergence of the unconscious opposite in the course of time. It seems only logical that at some point, society is going to swing toward spiritually evolved, intelligent, ethical people—not as a result of orthodox religion, but of a deep inner evolution rooted in dynamic soul transformation.

Virtue is Not the Domain of Religion
A core reason for the modern decline in morality and honor is a false dichotomy: the belief that virtue is the exclusive domain of religion, while the secular world is inherently sinful and incapable of moral action.
Nothing could be further from the truth. To use Christianity as an example, virtue didn't magically appear when the Orthodox Church invaded and suppressed pagan, druidic, and Gnostic traditions. It existed for millennia prior because morality is an evolutionary trait, hardwired into our species for survival.
This manufactured divide has poisoned secular culture with a sense of inherent sin—a systemic infection unleashed by the Church. If you doubt this influence, consider the following:
As the world's largest religion, Christianity systemically shapes global culture through its dominance in media, entertainment, literature, and its foundational beliefs about spirituality and the afterlife.
It teaches that humans are born in sin. This doctrine has become an infectious meme—a corrupting poison to the soul that infects the very foundation of our culture.
Its churches, spread across the globe, act as constant physical reminders of this supposed sinfulness and their claimed monopoly on virtue.
What I am suggesting is that this systemic indoctrination has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. The truth is that humans are naturally good. That should be the foundational belief of our culture, reinforced not by monuments to our sinfulness, but by new temples dedicated to reminding us of our inherent virtue and our oneness with all life.
Spectrum of the Soul
But how does such a transformation begin? What if we could understand this journey as an act of tuning a sacred instrument—our very own soul?
Think of your soul as a finely crafted guitar. When its strings are tuned with care, it produces a beautiful, resonant harmony. When neglected or struck by trauma, the strings loosen, creating a jarring dissonance. The spiritual path, then, is the courageous act of picking up that instrument, no matter how out of tune it is, and lovingly, patiently bringing it back into harmony.
This is the Spectrum of the Soul. When a soul is out of tune, it exists in a state of inner discord. This is the territory of the unhealed wound, the home of the pain-body, where life’s music is jarring and painful.
Minor, dissonant, and even jarring notes are not mistakes in music. When used intentionally, they can be powerful tools for healing and inner transformation. All types of notes, both pleasant and harsh, are important for the soul.
The Muted Chord (Apathy & Grief): This is the sound of silence when there should be music. It’s the psychic death of giving up, the quiet sorrow that settles when you believe you are irrevocably broken. As we know, this absolute silence is also the doorway, the quiet space where the intention to heal can finally be born.
The Jarring Note (Fear): This is the default frequency of a traumatized nervous system—a sharp, panicked note from a string pulled too tight by a past pain. It’s the sound that keeps you locked in familiar misery, the lie that safety is an illusion. Clearing trauma is the work of calming this vibration.
Loud Discord (Anger): Here is the dragon fire. It’s a blast of chaotic, out-of-tune noise. It’s ugly and loud, but it is sound. It is raw life-force returning, a sign that the soul is no longer willing to remain muted. It is the first powerful, albeit clumsy, attempt to play again.
Between the noise of anger and the clarity of harmony lies a crucial test for the practitioner—the test of authenticity.
The Deceptive Harmonic (Manipulation): This is the sound of the trickster lost in their own game. It’s a note that pretends to be in tune but carries a hidden, dissonant undertone—the passive-aggressive comment, the gossip, the "smile and stab" energy that seeks control through falsehood. To be ethical is to choose the honest, raw sound of your true feelings—even if it's Loud Discord—over a pretty lie.
As you do the work, you naturally begin to tune your instrument. Your soul begins to find its true pitch.
Clear Resonance (Contentment & Cheerfulness): This is the fruit of your labor—a single, pure note ringing out, uncluttered by static. This is the radical love that sprouts from within after you’ve tended to your own healing.
The Soul's Symphony (Enthusiasm & Purpose): This is when all your strings are in tune and you begin to play them together. It is the energy of your Soul Star shining brightly, guiding your hands as you create, express your inner truth, and unfold your work for the world.
The Musician and The Song
So who is the musician in this analogy? This is where we must define our terms.
My ancestral bloodline has revealed to me from a young age an ancient world where humans were in harmony with the earth. They could hear the song of nature, embody the dragon current within their spines, and move in the orbit of their souls. In this world, a Dragon refers to one who recognizes they are this sacred instrument, carrying an innate, archetypal potential for wisdom and power. It is the raw potential rooted in the latent genes of the ancient world.
A Wizzan, then, is the conscious esoteric musician. A Wizzan is a Dragon who actively learns the art of tuning their soul through direct experience. They function naturally by the ancient Grail code: a genuine empathy for the beehive of humanity, born from the deep revelation that “All are one and one is all.” This path of direct gnosis was the original source of virtue, a way later corrupted and stolen by the Roman Christian Church, which demonized the very esoteric path it sought to replace.
Symphony of a Healed World
Understanding this spectrum isn’t about judging others for being "out of tune." It’s about developing spiritual ears. This is panoramic vision—hearing the dissonant sound of another, sensing the pain that creates it, and choosing to respond with the harmony of your own well-tuned soul.
This leads to the most essential practice: Communication. Effective communication is not just exchanging words; it is the flow of resonance between souls. It is the sacred practice of speaking your truth clearly, listening with deep empathy, and closing the circuit with a respectful acknowledgment that you have truly heard the other.
Broken communication breeds the dissonance of fear and distrust. Clear communication, however, heals. It is how well-tuned instruments create a symphony together. A society of such individuals can build, create, and solve problems with harmony and trust. To heal our world, we must first master the art of truly hearing one another.
This is the path of the Wizzan, and it is the promise of revival. We are all psycho-spiritual instruments. The real magic is in the daily practice of listening, bravely tuning our strings, and learning to play our unique and beautiful melody. If we do, we may just bring about the vision described by Nicholas DeVere:
"The spirit of True Romance and Magic is all but dead... However, the Sundered Tribes can be reborn, the Dragon blood can be restored and enriched, and the Dragon Queens and Elven Lords can rise once more to restore to people a sense of wonder, a sense of hope, and an Age of Magic."
